My girls didn’t really get hooked ...Thanks, Linda.

My girls didn’t really get hooked on gaming, but we’ve had systems around for years. They usually play when friends are over. Like your son, they also love those popular board games.

I’m a lego fan myself, but none of my girls liked them as much as I did. We still have plenty of those in our basement. We have lots of toys to donate but I’ll probably put back a few things (the legos and Lincoln Logs) for potential grandchildren.

You are right about guilt. If it weren’t for me, my children wouldn’t be here in this world - that makes me responsible. You might think that guilt should go away when your kids have moved out and are successful living on their own. My oldest is doing very well for herself, but still I feel guilty for not doing more for her.
KYLadyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08386201292445132711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-278845464908391168.post-34889918096580009842013-11-22T05:13:20.013-05:002013-11-22T05:13:20.013-05:00Lovely post.
Once I was a nanny for a very wealt...Lovely post.

Once I was a nanny for a very wealthy family. The boy was about two. He had so many toys that they were rotated every week to avoid boredom. You could fill a giant bedroom floor to ceiling with what he had and then more again. He was happiest being pushed in the pram to the park or playing outside in the sandpit.

I think I bought a bit much for my son but I did enjoy playing with some of them myself (Lego). One day I realised he was over toys when we went to the shopping centre and he did not ask to look at the toy area. He had discovered electronics and that was it. I think he was about nine I think.

However, he loves playing Monopoly, Scrabble and card games still. Nothing beats those old favs.

There is a lot of guilt that goes with motherhood.

lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05392205573326695683noreply@blogger.com
